MeraHealth ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the MeraHealth mobile application (the "App") handles your information.

Key Point: MeraHealth does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers. All information remains on your device.

  • Storage: Photos are saved only to the App's local storage on your device

  • Not Transmitted: Photos never leave your device

Photo Library Permission

  • Purpose: To select existing photos from your device to attach to records

  • Usage: Only activated when you tap the photo selection button

  • Access: Read-only access to photos you explicitly select

  • Not Transmitted: Selected photos are copied to the App's local storage and never transmitted

Share Permission

  • Purpose: To share medical records via your device's share functionality

  • Usage: Only when you tap the share button

  • Control: You choose which app receives the shared information (WhatsApp, Email, SMS, etc.)

  • Note: Sharing is handled by your device's operating system, not by MeraHealth

When you use the share functionality:

  • You control what is shared (specific visit or prescription)

  • You choose the recipient app (WhatsApp, SMS, Email, etc.)

  • Sharing is done through your device's native share sheet

  • We do not have access to or control over what you share

  • We do not track or log sharing activities

Third-Party Services

  • We do not use any third-party analytics services

  • We do not use any third-party advertising services

  • We do not integrate with any third-party data collection services

  • The only "third parties" involved are apps YOU choose when sharing (WhatsApp, SMS app, Email app, etc.)

Data Security

How Your Data is Protected

Your data security depends on your device security:

We Recommend:

  • ✅ Enable device passcode or biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint)

  • ✅ Keep your device's operating system updated

  • ✅ Enable device encryption (enabled by default on modern iOS/Android)

  • ✅ Regular device backups (to restore data if device is lost)

  • ✅ Do not jailbreak/root your device

App-Level Security:

  • Data stored using iOS/Android secure storage APIs

  • No network transmission of sensitive data

  • No external authentication required

  • No account creation (no passwords to compromise)

 

Data Retention
  • Your Control: You have complete control over your data

  • Manual Deletion: Delete individual records at any time within the App

  • App Deletion: All data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App

  • No Remote Storage: Since data is only on your device, we cannot access or recover it

 

Children's Privacy

MeraHealth does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since all data is stored locally on the device and we do not collect any information, the App can be used by individuals of any age under parental supervision.

MeraHealth can be used worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device and we do not collect any information:

  • No data crosses international borders

  • No compliance issues with GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy regulations

Since all data is stored on your device, you have complete control:

Rights You Have:

  • ✅ Export: Share records to backup externally (via share function)

No Requests Needed: You don't need to contact us for data access, deletion, or modification since you have direct control.

 

Device Backups

iOS Backups (iCloud/iTunes)

If you back up your device:

  • MeraHealth data may be included in device backups

  • This is controlled by your device settings, not the App

  • Backups are encrypted if you enable encryption

  • We have no access to your backups

To Exclude MeraHealth from Backups:

  • iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups → [Your Device] → Turn off MeraHealth

Android Backups (Google Drive)

Similar to iOS, Android device backups may include App data based on your settings.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.

How You'll Know:

  • Updated policy will be available at our website

  • Significant changes will be notified via App update notes

For users in the European Economic Area:
